This is a short adventure that can be played in a session or two. It features a lot of investigation and mystery combined with occasional combat. It is set in the high society of nobles with all the power struggles and machinations of politics. The plot revolves around a vampire working in secret. The adventure starts when the party shipwrecks of the coast of Karameikos. The party is then invited to stay at the nearby Vandevicsny Manor. The local lord, Gustav Vandevic, is hosting a party the following day to celebrate that his niece has become betrothed to the son of a neighbouring noble, and the adventuring party is invited to attend the festivities. The following day starts off with tournaments of archery, swordplay and horsemanship as most of the guest arrives. During this tournament the party might offend a neighbouring noble who then challenges the offending character to a duel. The duel ends without fatalities. Later on a tea party is hosted by the lady of the manor. In the evening a feast is held. During this time it becomes clear that all is not as it seems. The nobles are harbouring hatred towards one another, and the Vandevicsny famlily line seems to be cursed. The day ends with a masquerade. Soon after the masquerade has started, the noble who fought in the duel is found dead. Not long after, another noble is attempted assassinated. After a while it becomes clear that a vampire is on the loose and the hunt starts. But who is hunting who? The adventure ends with a showdown in a secret crypt, centuries older than the manor. Please note that the original boxed set contains an audio CD, and that the version available through DM's guild contains no audio supplement. Though the adventure can be played without the audio supplement, I highly recommend acquiring the original boxed set, with the CD, as the soundtrack on the CD is an important part of the adventure. Even though the adventure is set in the Mystara campaign setting it can easily be adopted to other settings like Forgotten Realms.

After taking counsel with the High Priest of Eor, he believes that a small party of cunning, bold adventurers may succeed where armed might has failed. You find yourselves faced with many mysteries! THE NEXT MARCH WASN'T DUE FOR ANOTHER 189 YEARS. TRY TELLING THAT TO THE MODRONS! On a regular schedule, the Great Modron March spills out of Mechanus, and the lawful automatons files their way around the Great Ring. No one knows why they do it, but everyone stays out of their way - because when the modrons march, they'll walk right over a berk who doesn't know enough to move aside. But this March has started decades before it was supposed to begin, and that's even more of a mystery. Caught unprepared, the planes shudder under the modrons' collective footsteps - and even the modrons themselves seem a little out of sorts. The Great Modron March anthology features 11 adventures for characters ranging from 1st to 10th level, as well as new information about the modrons of Mechanus. Each adventure can be played separely or linked together to form an extended campaign. The modron procession touches every Outer Plane in turn - and it isn't always welcome. On their unswerving path, the clockwork creatures will destroy celestial towns, be attacked by evil knights intent on using modron parts in foul experiments, and lead characters onto the deadly plains of the Abyss and into the famous prime-material labyrinth of Undermountain. Without help, they'll be lost in the swirling chaos of Limbo or even fail to complete the March entirely. And along their route, every blood on the planes seeks the answer to the most important question: Why have the Modrons abandoned their normal, lawful schedule to march years before they're due?

Twin Oaks is a tiny, sleepy little thorp located just within the sheltering eaves of a great forest. Home to an extended family clan of farmers and woodcutters, the community was founded within living memory and since its creation the inhabitants have known only peace and prosperity. But just as the gentle breezes of late summer can transform rapidly into the deadly storms of autumn, dark times have come suddenly to Twin Oaks, in the person of Deskryn, a vampire who finds himself on the run from deadly enemies. Just two nights ago, as the good folk of Twin Oaks prepared for the annual harvest, Deskryn’s castle home was invaded by an intrepid band of adventurers led by a noble paladin. Although the party did not achieve its goal of slaying the vampire himself, they managed to drive him from his lair and force him to flee into the night with only the barest fraction of his former resources in tow. Unfortunately for the good folk of Twin Oaks, theirs was the community onto which the 2 vampire stumbled first, and it is here that the fiends have taken refuge. The little settlement offers the displaced vampire all that he needs: shelter from the hateful light of the sun, a selection of new servants, and a supply of fresh mortal blood. Even in his current condition, Deskryn alone is more than a match for the nhabitants of the thorp; but his best hope of survival lies not in conquest, but in secrecy. He plans to hide in Twin Oaks until he believes it safe to leave; then, he can begin plotting his revenge on the hateful paladin and her compatriots who brought him to this lowly state. As for the citizens of the thorp, they are all but helpless in the face of this powerful enemy. The vampire has already slaked his unholy thirst on one of their number, and his minions have taken hostages to ensure that the inhabitants do as they are told. All the folk of Twin Oaks hope that Deskryn will take what he wants and then leave them in peace, but few of them believe that such hopes are realistic. Until Deskryn has satisfied himself that the coast is clear, Twin Oaks—and its people—belong to him.
